The controller of your personal data is NEWSTIK Sp. z o.o., Warsaw, Poland. For anything about your data, write to newstik.info@gmail.com.
What we process and why
Visiting the site
When you open a page, your browser sends a request to our hosting provider, Vercel. The request carries your IP address, browser and device type, the address of the page, the page you came from and the time. We need this to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working and safe website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel keeps these logs only for a short period under its own retention rules.
Analytics, only with your consent
If you select Accept in the cookie banner, the site loads Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records how the pages are used: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, screen size, browser and device, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. From this we see session recordings and heatmaps that show which parts of the site work and which do not. Clarity masks anything typed into input fields. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). If you select Reject, Clarity is not loaded at all.
We tell Clarity not to share data with Microsoft Advertising. Microsoft keeps session recordings for 30 days; recordings we mark and a random sample are kept for up to 9 months.
Your cookie choice
Your choice in the cookie banner is stored in your own browser for 6 months, so that the banner does not appear on every page and the site follows your choice. It is never sent to us. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in respecting your choice (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
RoboLab and RoboHack waitlist
If you join the waitlist on the RoboLab or RoboHack page, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, who you are (student, changing profession, company, university or school), and, if you fill them in, your country, company or institution, what you are interested in, how you want to take part and your message, together with the time of sending and the version of the consent text. We use them only to contact you about RoboLab and RoboHack. We do not store your IP address with the application. Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by writing to newstik.info@gmail.com. We keep the application until you ask us to delete it, and no longer than 24 months after you send it.
Emails
If you write to us, we use your address and message to answer you and keep them as long as the conversation needs. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) or, when you ask about our services, steps before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Who receives the data
- Vercel Inc., United States, hosts the site and processes request data on our behalf. See the Vercel privacy policy.
- Google stores the waitlist applications in Google Sheets on our behalf. See the Google privacy policy.
- IGB, a platform created by Lithuanian university students, runs RoboLab and RoboHack with us and sees the waitlist applications to contact you about them.
- Microsoft provides Clarity and stores its data in the Microsoft Azure cloud. For Clarity data Microsoft also acts as a controller in its own right, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so no request goes to a font or image service. Links to other sites, such as our LinkedIn page, robot makers and Wikimedia Commons, are plain links: once you follow one, that site's privacy policy applies. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Transfers outside the European Union
Vercel, Google and Microsoft may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing and a copy in a portable format. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and you can withdraw consent at any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; this does not affect processing that took place before. Write to newstik.info@gmail.com, and we answer within one month. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work.
Children
The site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We update this policy when what we process changes; the date at the top shows the last update. Cookies are described in detail in the Cookie policy.
